Hello and welcome to All About Dessert Sauces where you can find a wide variety of information on how to serve dessert sauces, terminology, and recipes for making your own dessert sauces, ice cream, and malts and shakes.

My name is Laura Warnke. I started this site in July of 2005 with an idea and a bunch of inspiration. Desserts have always been a large part of our family when growing up.

Ice cream in particular was a favorite dessert for my Dad. He thoroughly enjoyed vanilla ice cream with Karo syrup and malt powder. I must admit, it is a really good combination!

My dad owns a dairy farm in Wisconsin, so any dairy product, especially ice cream was tops on the list as a dessert of choice.

Inspiration

My intention was to preserve many of the family memories and desserts, and good feelings that I remembered enjoying when I was younger and also to share some of my favorite recipes with others.

Many of the recipes on this site are my own concoctions, like many of the ice cream sundae recipes.

My Background

I currently work full time on this website and own a few others as well. I have a wonderful husband and young child and reside in Wisconsin, the dairy state.
